The venue of the olympiad

The accommodation of the participants of BOI2008 will be in the beautiful hotel "Molika" paced in the national park Pelister. This is the only Macedonian hotel placed in national park, and we are glad that we can offer the best of Macedonia.

How can you get there

Because the hotel is closer to Bitola than Ohrid, we reccomend that you arrive to Bitola, and we will transport you to the hotel.

The Weather and the Clothing 
The period of BOI is beginning of autumn. The weather in this period is typical autumn weather.
The high daily temperatures may vary from 10C to 26C (avg. 18). Low night temperatures are expected to vary from 0C to 12C, but probably not less then 4C.  Hence, we recommend that you take more different clothes that will allow layered outfit.
There is a planned excursion by boat on the lake, and although we don’t expect good weather conditions that will allow swimming we recommend participants to carry sun-protect cream for the moments outside.

Foreign Currency Exchange Rates 
The Macedonian currency is Macedonian Denar - MKD. Money should be exchanged in official exchange offices (banks, post offices, hotels, tourist agencies) according to current exchange rates. The difference between the private exchange institutions and the state ones are minor and actually negligible due to the stability of the national currency. The most popular foreign currencies are Euro and US dollars.
